PickPic is an iOS app that turns photos into local sticker assets. We aim to keep your sticker library on your device and only process data when needed for the features you choose to use.
Data We Process
- Photos and sticker assets: Photos you capture or import are used on device for foreground cutout, outline rendering, and sticker generation. Generated sticker files are stored locally on your device by default.
- Cloud recognition images: When you enable Super cloud recognition, the app sends a compressed sticker or cutout image to our cloud recognition service to generate a more specific sticker name and category. You can also enter names and categories manually.
- Anonymous install identifier: The app stores an anonymous install identifier in the device Keychain and sends it to the cloud recognition service to track cloud recognition quotas.
- Subscription receipts: If you subscribe to PickPic Super, the app or service may process Apple StoreKit transaction credentials to verify entitlement status and cloud recognition quotas.
- Local settings: Preferences such as language, sticker quality, and widget options are stored on your device.
How We Use Data
- To create transparent-background stickers and a local material library.
- To generate sticker names and categories when cloud recognition quota is available.
- To verify Super subscription entitlement and related quotas.
- To improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell your personal information, nor do we share your sticker assets or recognition data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. The cloud recognition service only sends compressed images to a third-party model gateway when necessary for recognition processing.
Storage and Retention
Sticker assets are stored locally on your device by default. Deleting a sticker in the app or deleting the app may remove those local files. Cloud recognition sends the necessary image data to the service for processing; our cloud recognition service does not store uploaded images long-term and discards them after recognition completes. Cloud recognition quota state is stored on the service. Third-party model gateways may have their own data retention policies.
Third-Party Services
PickPic uses Apple StoreKit for subscriptions and purchase restoration. The cloud recognition service calls a third-party model gateway for recognition.
Your Choices
- You can turn Super cloud recognition on or off in app settings.
- You can delete local sticker assets.
- You can manage camera and photo permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID.
